Samantha Levy, Ma, MFT, PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Samantha Levy is a Marriage and Family Therapist. Samantha is a graduate of Antioch University Los Angeles where she earned her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology.  Samantha’s goal, whether working with adolescent clients or adults, is always to create a safe space where one can find a sense of ease in opening up and sharing their truth. Samantha places a strong importance on personal genuineness, offering clients both her direct and gentle nature. Samantha’s core belief centers upon connection with both self and others as the key to lead us toward a healthier, happier life.

Samantha has had the privilege of working with many different populations during her time in this field. She spent time as a counselor at a dual diagnosis treatment center for adults, completed a traineeship at San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Clinic, where Samantha served as a therapist for elder adults from low-income backgrounds, and she spent nearly two years as a counselor at Clearview Women’s Center, where Samantha worked with females (ages 18 and up) diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. She currently holds a position as a therapist at Paradigm Malibu, where she works with adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression and substance abuse. Samantha practices integrative therapy, accommodating each client’s specific needs, which may very well change during the course of working together. Samantha enjoys including her client’s in the treatment planning process, giving client’s an opportunity to voice their needs and desires, so that Samantha and her clients can work best to fulfill them together.

Personal and professional experience has led me to believe that there is nothing more healing for one’s soul than intimate connection with others. If I can provide my client’s with a safe space to openly and honestly share their story, then our work has more than just begun. I look to offer a sense of transparency with my clients, an authenticity in nature that invites individuals to feel comfort and support in my presence. There is great challenge and risk in this process, as well as great opportunity for growth and change—it is a privilege to be a part of that journey with others.
